Why Dance
There are many excellent answers to this question. For the soul, nothing can compare to being exposed to the simple joy of dancing and its marriage to music. Away from the more lofty reasons, the most widely known fitness benefits of dance include skill, agility, and endurance, just to name a few. But of equal importance, a dance education has been shown to benefit scholastic achievement and aid in personal growth. The gains in poise, confidence and discipline can be immeasurable, and the loss of performance inhibition lends value in other walks of life as well. Ultimately, a career in dance could be the most tangible benefit to grasp. But most importantly, dancing is FUN!
